Important Things Should Be Payed Attention When Use Electromagnetic Flow Meter to Measure Brine
1. The nominal diameter of the electromagnetic flowmeter should be the same as the diameter of the measured brine pipeline. When the sensor diameter is smaller than the brine pipeline, reducers must be connected before and after the sensor.
2. Because salt water (calcium chloride solution) is corrosive, the electromagnetic flowmeter should be equipped with sensor linings and electrodes with good corrosion resistance.
3. During installation, ensure that the direction of movement of the salt water is consistent with the direction of movement marked on the shell. If the two are inconsistent, the installation direction of the sensor should be adjusted, or the setting of the direction of liquid movement in the converter should be corrected.
4. In order to avoid calcium chloride crystallization and other impurities deposition, the installation position should avoid the lowest point of the brine pipeline.
5. In order to avoid measurement errors caused by the liquid in the sensor being not full of the pipe, the installation position should avoid the highest point of the brine pipeline, the suction port of the brine pump, the outlet of the brine pipe and the downwardly movable pipeline, etc., which are prone to empty pipes.
6. In order to ensure the turbulence of salt water through the electromagnetic flowmeter, the length of the straight pipe before and after the sensor is installed is as follows: The straight pipe at the inlet end is greater than 5 times the pipe inner diameter, and the straight pipe at the outlet end is greater than 3 times the inner diameter of the pipe, measured from the electrode axis.
7. In order to ensure the correct measurement, the electrode axis of the electromagnetic flowmeter should be approximately in the degree direction during installation.
8. In order to avoid measurement errors due to electromagnetic interference, the grounding electrode of the sensor and the converter should be firmly grounded, and the grounding resistance value should be less than 10 Ω.
9. In order to avoid damage to the electromagnetic flowmeter during installation, the sensor lining and converter should be prevented from being stressed during the handling process. The position of the electromagnetic flowmeter should be reserved when the brine pipeline is installed. The electromagnetic flowmeter should be installed after the welding operation is completed.
